Pogba and McTominay injury latest
As United’s injury woes continue this season, here is the latest on two key stars, who Solskjaer will be eager to get back into the side:
Midfielder McTominay was injured in the closing stages of the 3-1 win against Brighton on Sunday, and had to be taken down the tunnel at Old Trafford on a stretcher.
The 22-year-old has withdrawn from the Scotland squad as a result meaning he will miss their fixtures against Cyprus and Kazakhstan. The midfielder had a scan on the problem but no timescale has been given for the problem. United are back in action against Sheffield United on November 24.
Expected return date: Unknown.
Pogba has featured in just two of United’s last 14 games due to an ankle injury he sustained in the 1-1 draw with Southampton at the end of August.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed he expects Pogba to return in early December, and the midfielder updated fans on his progress on Monday as he posted an update of his cast being removed. He is now expected to step up his recovery.
Expected return date: Early December.
