Haier are eager to replace Chevrolet, with senior representatives of the company having been in the United Kingdom since last week.

United are determined to show that they are still a major force in a commercial sense despite their struggles on the pitch in recent years.

The Red Devils haven’t won the Premier League title since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side drew 3-3 away to Sheffield United on Sunday and have won just four of their 13 Premier League games this season.
