Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Tottenham

Jose Mourinho wants to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Ibrahimovic is a free agent having left MLS outfit LA Galaxy after two successful seasons.

The Swede played under Mourinho at Old Trafford in 2016 and managed to register 26 goals in 46 appearances before sustaining a serious knee injury.

Serie A side AC Milan are desperate to sign the enigmatic 38-year-old having endured a terrible start to the campaign and Zlatan’s agent Mino Raiola is believed to have already held talks.

However, The Telegraph claim Mourinho is considering a deal for the former Barcelona striker to provide cover for Harry Kane after the departures of Fernando Llorente and Vincent Janssen.

The hit list

Manchester United have drawn up a shortlist of four strikers they could look to sign in the January transfer window.

The Red Devils are eager to bolster their attacking options with rising star £85million-rated Erling Haaland thought to be their top option.

But three alternatives have been identified during a series of meetings between Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Ed Woodward and his recruitment team.

The Evening Standard claim Everton star Richarlison is on the shortlist, along with RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner and Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson.

James Maddison worry

James Maddison is considering turning down Manchester United’s strong interest by signing a new contract with Leicester.

Maddison has been on United’s radar since June and their interest intensified this season as he has already contributed six goals and two assists for the Foxes.

According to Manchester Evening News, however, the midfielder is keen on extending his deal at King Power Stadium, which runs until 2023, even though he is a boyhood Red Devils fan.

Sources close to the England international claim a new contract is not close to being agreed and a decision may not be taken until the end of the season.

Nemanja Matic interest

There’s been more interest in Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic.

The 31-year-old has made just three Premier League appearances this term – totalling just 160 minutes of domestic action – and is reported to be targeting a January departure.

Juventus, West Ham, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan have all been created with interest in the Serbia international.

But ESPN FC now claim Diego Simeone wants him at Atletico Madrid and are particularly interested because he’s eligible to play Champions League football for them having only played in the Europa League this season.

Barcelona target £170m duo

Barcelona have their sights on two strikers to replace Luis Suarez.

Suarez has scored 185 goals in 260 appearances for Barcelona since joining from Liverpool in July 2014 for a reported £62million.

But the 32-year-old’s days at the Nou Camp are numbered and the Catalan giants have identified two possible candidates to replace him.

Goal claim Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez and RB Salzburg’s Erling Haaland are on their radar, with both likely to cost in the region of £85m.

Top Loader targeted…

Manchester United are set to miss out on a key transfer target.

The Red Devils are interested in signing Reading youngster Danny Loader.

The 19-year-old striker was a target for United during the summer, but the 13-time Premier League champions opted against making a bid.

Now, they could lose out on him again, with Wolves reportedly close to making a move in January.

Ahmed Kutucu dreams

Turkish international Ahmed Kutucu dreams of playing for Manchester United.

The Schalke centre-forward, 19, has managed four goals in 24 appearances for the Bundesliga club and is considered a bright talent for the future.

Asked about his ambitions for the future and who he would like to join, Kutucu told Fanatik: “The Premier League is a beautiful and special league and one day I want to play there.

“Of course, clubs with history like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus or Manchester United are every footballer’s dream.”

Erling Haaland deal

The Manchester United board are prepared to sanction a £75million deal for RB Salzburg star Erling Haaland, according to the Daily Mail.

But that’s £10m short of the Austrian champions’ valuation of their coveted Norwegian international, who want £85million.

There’s no shortage of takers for the 19-year-old teenager, who has chalked up an incredible 26 goals in 18 appearances this term – including five hat-tricks in four competitions.

Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are all linked with his signature – and could beat United if they’re prepared to pay the full asking price.

Marcus Rashford backs OGS

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford insists manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the perfect man for the job amid talks suggesting Mauricio Pochettino may replace him.

The star forward added that the Norwegian manager was a major catalyst behind his decision to sign a new four-year contract at United in the summer.

Rashford told Sky Sports: “There was no hesitation from me over signing a new contract.

“And it was the same for Ole as well – I could see where his head was at, where he wanted the club to be at and for me it was just a no-brainer.

“We were on the same page and wanted the same things for the club. Ole is a great guy and he has the club’s interests at heart so there’s not a better person for the job in my opinion.”

Dejan Kulusevski valuation

Atalanta have named their price for Dejan Kulusevski.

Kulusevski, who is currently on loan at Parma, is being tracked by a number of European clubs including Arsenal and Manchester United.

Calciomercato claim Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan are also showing interest – but could be put off by Atalanta’s valuation.

It’s claimed the Serie A side will accept £26million for the 19-year-old winger.

Bruno Fernandes to Spurs

Jose Mourinho could seek revenge on Manchester United, by finally bringing the Bruno Fernandes transfer saga to an end.

The Portuguese star was the talk of the summer window, but failed to earn a move away from Sporting where he has continued to flourish.

United appeared to be frontrunners for a deal until it became apparent that noise of their supposed interest was being driven from Portugal.

Given that Tottenham sent delegates to Lisbon to try and thrash out a deal earlier this summer, there is a good chance Jose Mourinho may reignite the club’s interest.

Poch’s next destination

Barcelona could beat Manchester United and Bayern Munich for Mauricio Pochettino as they have made a dynamic move in the transfer race.

The Argentinean manager has returned to his home in Spain and some of Europe’s heavy hitters have formed a queue for his services, with the likes of Bayern, United, and Barcelona being among them.

According to The Sun, however, Barca have made the strongest move and could hold an advantage over the rest of the competition.

Pochettino would be high up on the La Liga champions’ list should they seek a change in management in the near future.

This comes as a surprise given that the Argentine has previously claimed that he will never manage the Nou Camp outfit.
